Shooting Stars

During Term One our focus was on getting to know each other, settling into class - and having fun!

Each week we start our session with our Rising Stars and Shooting Stars Classes combining for vocal and physical warms ups. This is an important time for us to connect with friends and get our voices, bodies and minds ready for class.

Throughout the year our Shooting Stars class will work on four different songs, which they will ultimately present at our Musical Theatre End of Year Showcase performances on Saturday November 23rd 2024 (scroll down for more information about our 2024 Musical Theatre Showcase). 

TERM ONE SONG
When I Am Older - from Frozen II, written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez
This fun song is sung by the quirky snowman character Olaf in Disney's 2019 animated feature film, Frozen II and is about Olaf's belief that though he is scared of the magical elements in the Enchanted Forest, he expects that he is a grown up he  will understand them better and know that they weren't so scary after-all. Our lovely Shooting Stars are excited to get to partner up with one of our senior Musical Theatre Classes to perform this fun number. 

TERM TWO SONG
It's Possible - From 'Seussical' with music by Ahrens and Flaherty
Seussical is a musical comedy based on the many children's stories of Dr. Seuss. The musical's name is a portmanteau of "Seuss" and the word "musical".
Our song fun song talks about how - by using our imagination - anything is possible!
