Kenzie Tidd

McKenzie has been a member of the Stage Door team since 2022. 
She is passionate about music, drama and performing and in her short years has amassed a wealth of theatre experience, both on and off the stage.

Kenzie first appeared onstage at 6 years old, in Stage Door’s 2018 production of ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’. In 2019 she played Gretl in Theatre Whakatane’s production of ‘The Sound of Music’ and in 2021, Tessie in Stage Door's production of ‘Annie Jnr’. 2023 was a big year of theatre for Kenzie - she played the villanous Lady Lava in Whakatāne Intermediate's production of Rock Bottom, the title role in Stage Door's production of Aladdin Jnr, and was in the ensemble of the Junior Theatre Festival NZ pilot programme performance of 'Between the Lines Jnr'. 
In 2025 Kenzie represented Aotearoa as part of the Kiwi All-Stars musical theatre performance troupe - traveling to America to train with industry professionals on Broadway, at the Sacramento Junior Theatre Festival and at Disneyland, and to watch a heap of Broadway shows!

Kenzie takes private singing lessons and has attended Stage Door’s Drama and Musical Theatre classes since she was five. She works as a tutor in our Musical Theatre and Drama classes. Kenzie brings energy and fun to her mahi at Stage Door and is particularly skilled at supporting our youngest students, and those needing a little extra support.
