McKenzie Tidd

In 2022 we are excited to welcome to the Stage Door team Miss McKenzie Tidd - our youngest ever team member! McKenzie has grown up in and around the theatre, and Stage Door. She is passionate about music, drama and performing and in her short years has amassed a wealth of theatre experience, both on and off the stage.

McKenzie first appeared onstage at 6 years old, in Stage Door’s 2018 production of ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’. In 2019 she played Gretl in Theatre Whakatane’s production of ‘The Sound of Music’ and most recently she took on the role of Tessie in Stage Door’s 2021 production of ‘Annie Jnr’

McKenzie takes private singing lessons and has attended Stage Door’s Drama and Musical Theatre classes since she was five. McKenzie is thrilled to be joining the team and is most looking forward to helping new students find their feet at Stage Door. She joins the team as an assistant tutor in our junior Musical Theatre and Drama Classes, mentored by our Senior Assistant Tutor Bonnie-Marie.
