Katie Gundersen

Katie discovered a passion for theatre and music at a young age. Growing up in The United States near the famous Utah Shakespearean Festival, she enjoyed a childhood rich in theatre experiences. She first took to the stage at just 5 years old, but it was when she was 8, mesmerised by the musical "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" that Katie’s future was sealed - she knew she would be on stage performing in musicals one day!

Katie sang her way through her younger years, taking part in show choirs and state choirs and even performing at Disneyland! Now as an adult, Katie's passion for singing and music remains, and can be found singing along to just about anything, anytime, anywhere!

In addition to her love of theatre and music, Katie has many years of experience working with children, as a family support coordinator, newborn and child photographer, and mum of 4 little boys. Katie has been involved with Stage Door for a number of years, since her oldest son signed up for our Musical Theatre classes. She joins the team as one of our Twinklers preschool class tutors. We are thrilled to have Katie onboard and know that our young Twinklers will absolutely adore her!
