Cayla Jeffray

Cayla has been part of the Stage Door whānau for more than a decade. She originally joined as a student way back in 2015 taking part in Drama and Musical Theatre Classes. From 2017-2020 she continued as a student, but also stepped into the role of assistant tutor for both Drama and Musical Theatre classes.
 

After finishing up at school we farewelled Cayla as she shifted to Wellington to continue further her training at Whitireia, where she gained a Diploma of Musical Theatre and a Bachelor of Creativity majoring in Musical Theatre. In 2024 Cayla was accepted into the prestigious Auckland based school ‘The Actors Program’ where she honed her craft with a final year of full time study. 
As well as teaching previously at Stage Door, Cayla taught Musical Theatre classes in Wellington while studying full time. 

Along the way Cayla has performed in many musicals, plays and concerts; she has been in front of the camera, in the vocal booth, and in the directors seat. Hot off the heels of creating her own work, Cayla is excited to come back to her home town to work with the next generation of performers and impart some of her wisdom and skill to them. 

We are thrilled to have Cayla back onboard the SD Team.
