TERM TWO

Throughout the year Zodiacs and Constellations will work on a number of different songs, which they will ultimately present at our Musical Theatre End of Year Showcase performances on Saturday November 23rd 2024 (scroll down for more information about our 2024 Musical Theatre Showcase). 

TERM ONE SONG
Apex Predator - from the musical 'Mean Girls', written by Jeff Richmond
"Apex Predator" comes from the 2017 Broadway musical adaptation of Mean Girls. 
The musical is based on the 2004 film of the same name written by Tina Fey. The musical focuses on Cady Heron, a teenage girl who transfers to a public high school after being homeschooled her whole life in Africa. 
Cady's friends tell her that Regina George is a bad person as Cady recognizes all of the perks she gets from being in Regina's "pride". 

TERM TWO SONG
Revolution - from 'Love in Hate Nation' with music by Joe Iconis
Described as a turbulent rock romance set in a 1960s Juvie Hall, 'Love in Hate Nation' uses classic “bad girl” movies as the inspiration for the story of young people caught between eras of a changing America. Sixteen-year old Susannah Son is carted off to the National Reformatory for Girls to get her head put on straight. There she meets the aggressively incorrigible Sheila Nail, and a relationship forms which leads to an all-out “revolution in the institution” as they attempt to break out of the boxes society has created around them.
