TERM TWO

During Term One our focus was on getting to know each other, settling into class - and having fun! 

Each week our Starlets students join together with the Sparklers Class for a combined physical and vocal warm up. 
This is an important time for us to connect with friends and get our voices, bodies and minds ready for class.

Throughout the year our Starlets class will work on four different songs, which they will ultimately present at our Musical Theatre End of Year Showcase performances on Saturday November 23rd 2024 (scroll down for more information about our 2024 Musical Theatre Showcase). 

TERM ONE SONG
Oompa Loompa - from Wonka, written by Leslie Bricusse, Anthony Newley
The iconic song of the Oompa Loompas chocolatiers originally appeared in the 1971 film 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. Our Starlets are going to have great fun with this song which was recently given a new lease on life (and a new set of lyrics!) when Hugh Grant performed it in the 2023 film 'Wonka'. 

TERM TWO SONG
Cover Me In Sunshine - written by Allen and Mozella 
This hit pop song is sung by American singer, songwriter Pink and her daughter Willow Sage Hart. Written during 2021 when most of the world was in lock down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the song is about staying positive in spite of the troubles around us. 

For this fun number our Starlets will be joining up with some of our senior students.
