TERM TWO

Classes

Throughout the year our Sparklers class will work on a number of songs that they will ultimately present at our Musical Theatre End of Year Showcase performances in November.
[See the foot of this page for more info about the 2026 Musical Theatre Showcase]

TERM TWO SONG: Remember Me
From Coco
by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez

This beautiful ballad comes from the 2017 animated Disney/Pixar film Coco and won Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018. The song appears several times during the film, firstly as a mariachi arrangement, next as a lullaby, thirdly as a song of remembrance and lastly as an upbeat pop song.
It is described as the song that is the "tie that binds multiple generations in the shared love of music".

TERM ONE SONG: TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS
From Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
by Robert B. Sherman & Richard M. Sherman

This fun song was written for the 1968 musical fantasy film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and also appears it's stage musical adaptation.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is set in 1910s rural England and features the escapades of two young siblings, Jemima and Jeremy who are enthralled by the wreck of a champion racecar. Along the way they meet and instantly adore the beautiful Truly Scrumptious - singing our song to her.

Parents and Students are asked to keep an eye on this page, where updates, practice resources and homework notes will be regularly added throughout the year.
