Aladdin Jr

Disney’s Aladdin Jr is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat with a kind heart. Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. 

Wanting to earn the respect of princess Jasmine, and with the help of the fast-talking Genie, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and moral character. Along the way, he finds true love, earns the adoration of his kingdom, and discovers that one’s true worth is a treasure that comes from within.

Together with The Comm. the newly formed Stage Door Production Charitable Trust are excited to be bringing Aladdin Jr to Whakatane audiences in July 2023.
